Finalist: Pinball Heresies by Mostly Tigerproof

Pinball Heresies takes the fixed flipper hinges in conventional pinball and attaches them to a player controlled track. This track wends its way through very wide tables filled with a menagerie of different targets.

Finalist: Seedlings by Bardsley Creative

In the forests of New Zealand, sentient seeds have started to appear. Play as a seed and control different plant creatures with unique abilities. Solve puzzles to work your way through the forest while humanity tries to understand the situation.

2019 Kiwi Game Starter

Kiwi Game Starter is the NZGDA’s annual game development award and startup programme for interactive games businesses and startups. The competition aims to improve the commercial outcomes for NZ developers working towards completing their games. Key area’s that the judging panel will look at include; originality and technical / creative innovation as well as commercial prospects.

Thanks to the support of Tim Ponting and the NZ Film Commission, the four titles will be competing for a NZD $25,000 first prize with a mentorship support service, and a NZD $10,000 runner up prize. The runner up will also receive support.
